Elizabeth (Liz) Caldwell - Excellence in Service Award

Liz is being recognized for her contributions which advance the mission of PVA while fostering the growth of our members, and supporting our commitment to exceptional service in the Pittsford community.

Liz has 20+ years of volunteer service with PVA. She has served as an EMT, as Director of Operations, as Director of the Board, as a member and chair of various committees, and as a member representative to the Southeast Quadrant MCCU (SEQ) Board of Directors. Most recently she served as the President of the SEQ Board, and as a member of the Transition Team tasked with merging SEQ into Pittsford Volunteer Ambulance. Liz’s work has been crucial to the merger effort. She has been a strong advocate for the values and positive of PVA during our transition to the Advanced Life Support level of service. She has also been instrumental in developing a smart, sustainable post-merger business model, built in part on member and community-centric values.

Most importantly, Liz has been the keystone player in retaining the Paramedics and EMTs who were previously employed by SEQ. Liz recognized these providers were critical to the merger, as they brought talent, experience, capability to serve the PVA mission. Her efforts significantly contributed to our retention of all SEQ personnel through the merger, and our sustainable position as the ambulance provider in the Pittsford community.

Liz, thank you for sharing your talent and vision, and your many years of dedicated service!
