Throughout the last year Heather has participated in and completed New York State EMT-Paramedic certification training.

The CDC is monitoring a new virus showing up in China with first cases now identified in Washington State. Our region has already sent out advisories to keep all pre-hospital providers, who might see this virus first hand in the community, aware.

Medical professionals set miracles into motion to save the life of Carly Weis’ baby whose heart was failing. The case then spurred pediatricians and paramedics to combine efforts in improving emergency care.

It is with a heavy heart we notify you of the passing of Richard Beers, Sr. Dick passed away on the evening of October 21st 2019 surrounded by his family.

PVA community services include standby medical support for community and school sporting events

Pittsford Volunteer Ambulance welcomes our newest team members.

Wegmans Pharmacists will be at the PVA base providing flu shots on October 8, 2019 between 4pm and 6pm.

PVA participated again this year in a cooperative re-enactment of a motor vehicle accident with an impaired driver behind the wheel with MCSO and Pittsford Fire Department at Pittsford Sutherland High School to inform students of the risks of drinking and driving.

PVA was proud to provide standby support for the Senior PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club. It was a great week, and included amazing coordination among several specialties, such ALS response golf cart teams with State Troopers and PGA Volunteers. Approximately 70% of our EMT and Paramedic staff participated in staffing and coverage for the PGA and our community (including multiple concurrent community events), providing 1400hrs of service during the week - all during EMS Week and a holid...

In an effort to bring awareness to EMS professionals everywhere, PVA has been involved in the making of a short documentary highlighting some of the things PVA members do, the services ambulance organizations provide to their communities, and future directions of the EMS profession.
