Congratulations to PVA Member Paul Petrino!

PVA member Paul Petrino has recently passed his New York State EMT certification exam. He will soon begin practical training on our ambulances, as a final step toward independent practice as an EMT.

Certification training is a challenging, with weeknight classes and clinical evaluations spanning 4-6 months. Once certified, a new EMT can expect to participate in ongoing training, regular patient interaction, periodic skills evaluations, and State re-certification; this repeats over each three-year period of an EMT’s service. As you can tell, becoming and serving as an EMT requires dedication and commitment!

We are proud to congratulate EMT Paul Petrino on achieving New York State certification!

Do you have what it takes to be an EMT? Want to learn more about becoming a member of our dedicated team?
